Congrats on your little chickies, they are soo cute.

I have a little giant styrofoam incubator currently, and I was wondering is it worth the extra money to purchase this one and upgrade? Seems like you are having great luck with this one.

I'm up to 15 now and 3 more are pipped. not to bad for 26 eggs. I broke 1, 1 died in the shell after pipping, 2 died when the power went out last week it looked like and there are 3 more pipped and 3 more that are still growing it looks like. I am sill giving them some more time. We will see.

Looks like you have a couple of red-ish ones and a solid black one. I would think these were these from different pairings? Hope the rest hatch out okay.

estpr13 I have several different colors of silkies. I keep them all penned separate by color. Theres a white pen, A buff pen, a cuckoo pen, a partridge pen, and a black/blue/splash pen.

20 Babies out of 26 eggs! NOT TO BAD!!!

Well I am pretty sure they are all done and I ended up with 20 babies out of 26 eggs!! Thats pretty good if you ask me. I broke one egg on like day 3, and then it looked like 2 of them died when the power went out last week, one pipped and died with this jelly like stuff all over it were it pipped and it suffocated, and then the last 2 are still in there but I dont see any movement and there not pipped internally. So I am pretty much giving up hope on them...but I am extremely pleased! I LOVE this new tophatch! JEN
