Hahaha! They are pretty resilient and forgiving I think. Its been storming like crazy here and I haven't lost any lol. If you can get free pallet wood, you probably could make near solid sides or back. Leaving a gap for ventilation. And just wire or screen on top and front.

So many options its all just how purty do you want it.

Yea. That's kinda how I built this first one. Solid top and sides. The sides have 1/2" holes drilled to give ventilation. The front is screened with 1" wire. The bottom is 2/2" cloth.
