Got too comfortable..

Uh oh, you're in trouble with mom. :lau
:lau:lau:duc
I was getting this image in my mind of OP running around in the dark every night, gathering sleepy chickens from roofs and trees. Kinda like this:wee:jumpy:wee:jumpy:wee:jumpy.
Seriously though, if there is any way we can help secure the ladies and chicks we are glad to help. :highfive: We just need to know how things work in their situation. :thumbsup

There are several gaps and breathing holes but nothing a thing can fit through. Everything was regrettably left open :(

Is that a gap that I am seeing there in your picture in the upper right side corner? There seem's to be a lot of light coming in there? Is that were your predator got in at?

When I got them the lady never put them in a coop so they fight if I put them away so I didnt see any harm in letting them stay out a little longer and forgot about them, made a huge costly mistake. It's just the coop, I took down that ply wood and I am putting more roosts up for them to sit on. Maybe that's why they dont enjoy sleeping in it . Making it more comfortable for them today, didnt really think about that at the time. :( I was told just the coop is fine if it's just strictly for sleeping. I am up as soon as the sun comes up every day and I let them out so they aren't in there too long. When the sun goes down to when it comes up.

Why do your chickens roost outside? Do you have to physically put them inside and that's why you let them sleep outside that night?
What do you have for predator protection? How are you set up? Run? Apron? Aerial cover?
