Got two chickens I think one is a rooster.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

They are so pretty! I would want to see their offspring big time, but, if you don't want more, just keep taking the eggs is all.

Otherwise, you'll be out of having eggs for a while as the hens build up a nest of them; I'm just spitballing a guess of about 8-10 eggs. This hen will then sit for 21 days or so, then raise them for about 8 weeks, all this time not laying any eggs.

You may want to consider getting a small incubator or finding out if someone you know will let you borrow theirs. Then just keep taking their eggs and save a few to hatch, but always set a couple more than you want. Barring one going broody, you'll continue to get eggs for yourself.

Welcome to BYC!

Looking at the pictures you've posted i don't see anything that would make me think boy. 8 weeks is often too young to tell boy vs girl for sure.

If you do have a boy, and you want to and are able to keep him, you don't need to worry about a population explosion. Eggs will only hatch if they are incubated under the right conditions for 21 days. If you don't want any babies, just collect eggs once a day and don't let them develop.

How big is the coop? You might have room for another hen. It's generally a good idea to have at least 3 chickens anyway. That way if something bad should happen and you lose one, you won't end up with a "lonely only," leaving you scrambling to quickly find a companion for the remaining bird.
