Gotta Vent

Well I got a good laugh tonight.
My coworkers were snubbing me and even the floor super was doing it. *shrug* Didn't care.
Well this evening it got really busy. There was just 3 of us out there. Myself, the clerk on the till and one more.
The clerk at the till was ringing the bell to get help with the sudden number of customers. I had been heading to the back, but I headed for the register instead.
The others were in the back texting and smoking again.
The owner saw this. While I was at the till I heard them yell at the others to get out here and help they were ringing the bell.
Nobody came out. They thought it was me.
Boss is po'd big time.

I'm off for the next couple days so I really wonder what is going to happen while I am gone.

redhen the only problem my bosses have is they are just too good hearted towards people who don't deserve it.

You cannot change other peoples actions. You can only change the way you react to them. If the owners know what is going on and do nothing to stop their employees from smoking and texting there is little to be gained by your anger. It only makes you feel bad. I would continue to do your job to the best of your ability and not worry about things you can't change.

Had 2 days in a row off and talk about relaxing. Rather nice not having to deal with them yesterday and today.

Now I am ready fo face them tomorrow.

Yeah I know I can't change things or people. I just needed to get it off my chest. My friend who I always talked to is still on leave so I just had to vent somewhere.

Found out that one of the bosses called the job service and was told that there is a lot of people on welfare looking for work, but I know they want people who will work and not stand around expecting a pay check. That seems to be the trouble in our area. I have heard several other business owners complain about that.

Had a couple people come in and apply.
One woman came in wearing a tank top, no bra, no make up and wearing flip flops and ratty shorts. She's not working with us.
Had a guy come in in a dirty t-shirt and pants. Un shaven and looking like he just got out of bed. Didn't get hired either.
I just shook my head.

My only concern is what shape is the store in when I get back.
