Does anyone on this board raise Goulds wild turkeys? If so are eggs, poults or breeding stock ever available? I really like the idea of breeding one or two endangered turkey breeds. Am now deciding on which heritage breed to concentrate on. Not easy with the many varieties out there so will probably take till next season before I decide.

Out of the wilds I like the Goulds because of it's size, body carriage and rarity. Very pretty birds in the pics i have seen. Love the long legs. My coastal socal environment would probably be favorable and it would be exciting to be involved in a program to reintroduce them to the wild. The reintroduction part is way ahead of myself but I know that would be a special experience.
