GQF cabinets - are they any good? PICS ADDED post#9

I suppose you could, just make sure the water bason doesn't slosh around. And remember they are heavy! Also because they are much taller than they are wide, you would have to be careful it doesn't tip over.

ok GQF make alot of incubators , and hatcher...some ostrich, rheas, ...the other work best for quail ,chicken, phreasants and so on.

Kelseygirl ....think that is a ostrich incubator or rheas ,emu.

You can buy parts to make a hatcher a incubator....but lot more money.

Keep looking , you should find one , remember 1202 ,1502, incubators ...1250 , 1550 , hatchers no turner , great for hatching I have one it hold eggs from three gqf incubator.

you can hatch in a incubator at same time you are incubating.......but with out a turner you will need a way to turn. the trays can't be tip i don't think....have brakets to hold tray

Hard to tell from the angle of the picture, but the drawers don't look deep enough? But that would make sence, it's a lot easier to turn 3 drawers of emu eggs, than it would be to turn 250 chicken eggs, or THOUSANDS of quail eggs

the photos are not real clear on my sceen. It looks like a hatcher , not an incubator..

the incubators have 3 stationary bars across the front with a bolt right in the center where the trays pivot..

If it has supports on each side where the trays set on, it is a hatcher.

FYI not all gqf models have hatching trays in them.. I have one with, and 2 without..

I would not want to have to rock one of them back and forth to turn the eggs.. they are quite top heavy..

It could also be a model 1266 which doesn't come with a hatcher and it is for hatching bigger eggs like emu... You can easily convert it for chicken eggs and just build a hatcher for it.

It's not a 1266, that is what I have and posted a picture of on page 2. The `1266 Auto turns, and looks much different. Has 3 Deep Drawers, and no open space at the bottom.
