GQF cabinets - are they any good? PICS ADDED post#9

A 1266? that is what I must have bought.. It had only two turners in it. the guy gave me the extra turner and it was very easy to add the 3rd turner.. all the holes are predrilled..
the guy was hatching Ostrich eggs..

If you wanted, you could disconect the top turner from the motor arm and stabilize it and use it for the hatching tray.. But then you would have only 2 turning shelves..

On my lower 2 shelves, I can stack the rigid plastic egg holders and double the capacity of those 2 shelves.. I can fit up to 500 eggs into each of my bators, using all 3 shelves.. I have a separate hatcher... I bought 2 dozen plastic trays from Cutler Supply for $4.30 each.. It is the equvelant of buying 4 HovaBator turners for the price of one..

I wouldn't feel too badly about not getting it..

I think it was plenty to pay for basically a hatcher..

I have 3 nice sportsmans, two almost like new and I haven't paid more than $275,oo for any..

patience.. keep looking..

Well, I don't really need it. I have three table tops that are serving my purposes right now. I just happened to run across this one on craigslist, and thought I'd get opinions from you guys since I've never owned a cabinet. I definitely will keep my eyes peeled for a good deal now that I have been somewhat educated on the cabinets.

Being the chicken/hatching addict that I am, I just would LOVE to hatch out a ton of chicks at once!

Thanks!!
