"Grab-Bag" Eggs hatching - Guesses as to Breed?

Two dozen eggs in the "Mega-Bator" became one dozen about six days ago after final pre-"lockdown" candling. Submitted for your experienced/educated guesses as to breed - here are pics of the first hatchling at less than 24 hours old.

The farm these eggs came from offers the following possible breeds (breeds are segregated by coop, so no X's...): Rh. Isl. Red, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Red Wyandotte, Barred Rock, Red or Black Star, Jersey Giant (white or black).

Three more (distinctly different looking than this first one) have now hatched - pics will be taken tomorrow after they have dried and fluffed out.

Can't see comb - best guess Red Wyandotte.

I see beard and muffs. . .

Otherwise I vote white Jersey Giant.

Reds would be orangey brown in color, "Red" Wyandottes would be a dark marbled brown, Silver Laced Wyandottes would be black and silver marbled, Sex Links would be either black or reddish white (unless males) and Barred Rocks, like Black Sex Link males, would be black with a white dot on the head.

This sequence shows the "wonder twins" - second and third to hatch out, which hatched within moments of one another - and humorously enough, show all appearances at this point, of being the same breed. The same breed choices are applicable to these two as were previously mentioned by me on this topic thread (RIR, SLWy, RWy, BR, R/Blk Star, Blk/Wh JG)...

No, the one in pic 27 is not a bantam or undersized - the chick is a healthy, normal size, it is my hands that are oversized...10.5" from thumbtip to little fingertip, outstretched. Yes, "jumbo" eggs do look like smallish "mediums" in my hands...yeah, I've heard most of the jokes about men with large hands...

Based on the descriptions given, I would tend to eliminate RIRs, Sex Links, and maybe BRs - which might suggest these two to be S.L.Wy, or Blk/Wh Jersey Giants...

If they're black without the white dot on the head, they're either Black Sexlinks (yes, the same as Black Stars

) or they're Black Jersey Giants. White on the heads, as shown in the 1st and 3rd photo, are indicative of either a male Black Sexlink or Barred Rock. I'm sorry to tell you though, either way, those both are males. Barred birds are sexable at hatch by the size of the dot on their head. A white smear going back to the neck is a male. A small white pinprick on the top of the head is a girl.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but to sort this out in my head I need to ask.

Aren't sex-links a cross between two different breeds to begin with, ie. a dark bird and a light colored bird, to produce chicks that are able to be sexed by color when hatched? I thought their chicks do not have the sex-link charactoristics, since they are mixed breeds and would not have the "pure" genetics that are needed to sex by color?

That is assuming of course that the pen held sex-linked chickens and was not a pen that produced sex-linked chickens. If you know what I mean.
