Hi there, we are in East Central Wisconsin and have used an unmodified (except for door) grain bin for hens for almost 20 years. We planted fast-growing deciduous trees around it so it's in shade all summer but gets the south sun thru the (plexiglas) door in winter. Its height lets it ventilate very well and we've had no problems whatsoever! I do want to put in nice windows and a nice door like you did, however! Thank you for sharing the pictures!
