The chimney sweep came today and he was scared to get up on our steep roof too. So he tried to do it from inside and got some stuff out but it really needs to be done from the top. Sigh. And he gave hubby a quote on taking down the pine tree near the house.

Cap, if your a good aim throw a rock or something threw the chimney top on a long rope. grab it from inside the fireplace and you can buy a round brush meant to clean them then pull it back up from the outside.

Impossible, the top is made so stuff does not get in. You would have to get up there and take the top off.

2 c. sifted flour
Any bakers out there can clarify this... are you supposed to sift some flour and measure out 2 cups? OR do you measure 2 cups of unsifted flour and then sift and use it all? I think it's the latter, but, you know... cooking. :idunno

Nope he has a special truck for taking off part of the top of the tree. So it is not going to fall in one big piece. Safer that way.
Our roof is very steep and metal.
He needs magnet boots!
