yep your doing GREAT in the advice and questioning area, making it easier for the "common person" to understand :bow:bow

I think it’s just pinto beans cooked with a ham hock. What kind of spices would I put in it?
Mom's is 2 lbs of either great northern or navy beans.
Soaked over night, then simmer/cook until almost tender.

drain and rinse, put in large roaster or kettle

add the "sauce"

1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup ketchup
1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (I use more)
1 large onion diced (I use more)

mixed to par-cooked beans add enough water to just cover add your ham bone

bake at 350* until done, checking occasional on the liquid level Bake covered until towards the end then uncover to brown.

OH and when you uncover pull the bone strip the meat and chop and add back into the kettle

NOPE :hit
false pregnancy I think :idunno

evil , nasty , teasing thing she is :rant:mad:
Kat did that after her spay surgery. She even took stuffed animals into her dog bed that she NEVER uses and made little squeals.

Maybe you’ll get pups in the spring? :fl
