nummy Camping. Morning ! I never seen that kind before. Been sitting in my office chair watching the birds. 100 pics and they all suck. Bandit was hugging Stars back and they were both sleeping. was very cute.
At first I thought that bird was a Northern Flicker, which is a type of woodpecker. After looking, I think it is a Red Bellied Woodpecker, probably a female since the colors are muted. Very pretty. Don't see them here.

Camera tips... don't zoom all the way. The less zoom, the sharper the pic. After a certain point on that camera, the zoom is not an optical (lens) enlargement (truly zoomed, like binoculars). After you zoom more than a third of the way you reach the limit of the lens (there is an indicator bar at the top of the screen) and the zoom switches to digital, which makes it look fuzzy or pixelated when you enlarge the pic. It ends up being the same thing as enlarging a regular picture on your computer, except you aren't even starting with a good image.
Also, keep the camera as still as you can. If possible, rest your elbows or hands on something like a windowsill or railing or even lean up against a tree (if it's not too windy!) Tiny shakes are magnified in long distance shots. Take a ton of pics! One will come out good and you can erase the rest.

There are also some settings on that camera that are better for action shots or distance shots or ones in difficult lighting. It would take a little studying to learn how, but just do one thing at a time and play around with practice shots until you get comfortable. If you can't find the manual, it's online too. ;)

Hers looks exactly like this, bell and all.

That is really neat, and so is your flowered one. Love the tradition of filling the cereal bowls! but have to say, I have never like the idea of drinking something a cow barfed up! :D

corelle (sp) ? Is a brand I really like . they are lightweight and hardy. I have had mine for ??ever.
I have been using Corelle since #1 was born. I got tendenitis in my wrists so bad, I couldn't even lift one plate of our heavy dishware, so we got Corelle (plain white because you now how long it takes us to make decisions!). 20 yrs later, we're still using it. Takes up a lot less cupboard space too!
