hahaaa! No hiding acorns... birds just went up there and shat!

It must be a fruiting mulberry... all those saplings coming up under it in the close up pic. I put a mulberry in the chicken yard years ago... before chickens even. Did not do well at all, so had the boys dig it out and replaced with a mission fig. Fruiting mulberry would have been better anyway... chickens would have loved the berries.

I had a round quail pen i made once. Dogs busted their way in through the laminate sides and killed , ate or scattered my quail.
I will probably make a pretty similar cage to the square ones i used to use. Adult quail are very hardy. We have wild Bob Whites living here.

I’ve never had quail but they just seem so small.
This first one could fit in a corner.

That's for sure. Yellow jackets were thick as thieves.

Hopefully we can get bugs down to a normal level this year. There was too many last year.

I have had it with bugs! Stink bugs, little beetles that look like lady bugs, fleas, ticks...none of them have gone away!
I went shopping today and hubby cleaned the great room and moved the furniture around. Not a fan of the new arrangement, but he can see the tv better and i rarely watch it so i guess it is ok...

um did he happen to clean, vacuum while he was moving furniture ??
