Yes, terrible. Was in southern California where the fires burned recently. They got a huge rain storm and the mudslides flowed. There were plenty of warnings, but no one thinks it will be them. And other than the verbal warnings, it just happens, no way to know it's coming until it does. They put up warning-danger signs on the main road heading to our neighborhood and beyond because it burned and is very steep. Can you say CYA? The trees are all in place still, so not much chance of a problem. We didn't get enough rain to be worried.
