Granny's gone and done it again

Twist, tell me about your heater please ? Is there a chance of fire ?

There is always a chance of fire. BUT If you put it up on a cement/cinder block and check on it occasionally it should be fine. JUST remember to clean/hose the holy chit out of it in the summer and THROUGHLY DRY THIS INCLUDES AIR DRYING for DAYS before plugging back in. I have used them in the brooder room for 3 or 4 years, and this year for the lings as well.

you hose the switches ? Does it keep the water thawed as well as babies warm? Cinder block as in those tall ones or ? How can the babies get warm next to it if its in the air ? Lots of questions sorry

I bought a baseboard heater . 60 in. it gets hot to the touch
so does this BUT with it being up on a cinder block there at least in my case if no worries about chicks getting cooked/burned and they can't/haven't piled up enough bedding to cause a problem

th

the block may get a little warm BUT not hot enough to really cause a problem

it warms my room. and so far for most of the time the water doesn't freeze.

I hose the entire thing and then if needed use a dish or toilet brush to scrub between the "fins"
