Yes but super flighty. Reminds me of Alice my minorca.. But i really love my langshon roo. They are so funny. Supposibly they lay a purpleish egg??? Im not sure.
From what I've seen, they are a dark brown egg with a heavy layer of bloom on the outside that gives them a purple tinge. mauve? My Australorps lay a similar egg, but lighter brown under all the bloom, so they have a pinkish look. When the bloom gets wet, the eggs look more like regular brown.

He has grown to be a keeper so far. He has a super good eye for flying preditors. Living in the country is so much different than the suburbs. Im relearning things as I go.. Lol the first week we were here we had bats living under the cover of our carport.. Lol and barn swallows that I swore were dive bombing me. I was a little weanie!!! Hahahaha
You're not a weenie. Barn swallows will absolutely dive bomb you during nesting season if they think you are a threat. Ours didn't usually go after people, but the cats! whoohoo It was like watching WWII out there, with the birds dive bombing the cats. They would make contact too, smack on the head! Cats usually went for cover when that happened.

There is a mocking bird that terrorizes Binks . I believe it is the same one every yr for 4 yrs running. I need to see how long they live but it uses the same nest as well.
Mocking birds will throw other birds eggs out of a nest and lay theirs and have the adopted family hatch and raise their chicks
