Well... now the loosey goosie sets in. I told hubby to put the biohazard sign on the bathroom again. He just kept going on about how good the chicken slop smells. Just help yourself and get it over with!

I let chickens loose to free range and all of a sudden I hear this screech. There’s a hawk at the neighbors. So I rush trying to herd chickens back in their pens. I’ve not seen a hawk since last spring.

I let chickens loose to free range and all of a sudden I hear this screech. There’s a hawk at the neighbors. So I rush trying to herd chickens back in their pens. I’ve not seen a hawk since last spring.

Hawk is probably HANGRY! Good thing you got them back in. Do you know what kind of hawk? The smaller hawks don't bother my large hens, just the bantams. Neighbors had a red-tailed kill one of their big hens... so far, never had a hawk that big near my birds so big girls are always out during the day.
