I was late getting to sleep last night and when the alarm went off i fell back to sleep.

I have the same problem H2o. Tried to share some old pictures of my Silkies I used to have for Alley. Brought them from my Cloud storage to my email, then tried to upload here. They said something about the titles being too long to upload

It was the northern mite. I can’t find any in the coops at night

Sounds like it then. The red mites will be crawling all over the coop and you would need to spray it. Northern you treat the birds. If you used Ivervectin, that will kill them too. Trick is to retreat in 7-10 days to kill any hatching baby mites. Northerm hatch on the chickens. You can see clumps of eggs on their feather shafts around the vent.

I let the birds out to free range lots of fights. A few hens are acting like Roos.

Yes, my 6 yr old New Hamp has been acting like a cockerel lately. Mounting hens and the rest.

Ugh just finished cleaning the bator out. Apparently I forgot after Crunchy's short stay last year. I think I’m going to set eggs tomorrow. A few ACs already look big!
