WE are suppose to get real cold again, colder than all winter. Unfortunately all the trees are in bud, except the pecan. I don’t think it will be good news for the farmers. We need rain not just freezing temp.

I was considering either the barred or white rocks BUT don't have a separate coop to give them a test spin. And don't want/can't afford to take the chance on having 1/4 of my layers be duds. Did that one years with the silver lace wyandots

Get Australorps and Barred Rocks. Then you could make BSL and sell chicks too....
