Yes they recommend you do, either by tilting the end of the egg carton, changing ends every 4 hrs or using a turner. I chose the turner because it was set & forget.I’ve never turned my eggs while stocking up. Was I supposed to? Oops.
that’s cool!

Haha well I collected for 7-10 days without turning. Got good hatches. Maybe 1-2 out of a full bator didn’t hatch. And they were early blood rings.yes you are supposed to. keeps the embryo from sticking to one side although I dont know how that is possible if theres no embryo there yet.
it’s very wet in the basement. I don’t add water to the bator until lockdown because it’s so bad lol I’ll try the turner though. If you hold them in a cool area, not cold & run a humidifier if you have one. My gd bedroom was great for this. I had two turners running until I got as many as I wanted. I think I went up to 14 days with decent results.
It keeps the yoke centered in the egg so when it is incubated the embryo doesn't end up being to one side of the egg.yes you are supposed to. keeps the embryo from sticking to one side although I dont know how that is possible if theres no embryo there yet.
