I see, so she is checking her thermometer to make sure its accurate .   I missed that somehow. and the reading she is getting ??  

Yeppers, gonna (hopefully) be setting eggs soon so I wanna have perfect conditions for hatching.....

It was at least 2 degrees lower than it was supposed to be...But the fact they all read nearly the same is also puzzling. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

and they dont take batteries ? does the ambient temp have anything to do with it ? did you try different containers ?

your waiting the right time before reading them ? is it 24 hrs.?

I've got these, 5 of them:

Not sure, and no I didn't.... I was using a cottage cheese container. Thermometers weren't touching edges.

you put them all in the same container ? I would use glass and at least 2 containers. and they should be in the middle I believe. Its been a while since I have done that. Isnt there a second test ?

Yeah, true. They read 32 the last time I calibrated tho.....

No, I waited 10ish minutes.

Yes, all in the same container and all pretty close to the centre but not touching. I'll try glass tomorrow....

good evening all

mixed up the cookies attempt 2 and still not right THEN I realized it is NOT the right recipe (close) and that one is missing as well. Did a little tanking with brother. Then said to heck with everything and watched the Walton Christmas. That helped some.
