Granny's gone and done it again

My nanny goat is coming in bout a hour. Yesterday I had to run the taxi service 2x & had to change her delivery. I slept 8 hours straight last night. Maybe I need to go to bed at seven every night.

He refused to. we tried to get him to put a nicer shirt on and he wouldnt. I asked him why and he said cause no matter what I put on he aint gonna be happy. I said ok.

Oh my goodness, he sounds just like mine. Give him a big hug and tell him how handsome he is.
I have been talking to #1 about this idea of happiness. Like he thinks a muscle car will make him happy. (Kind of makes me miss the days when a little Lego kit would "make" him happy... much cheaper!) I have been explaining to him that things don't make you happy, they just distract you for a short time. Happiness come from inside you... the ability to look for the good things, focus on the joy. It's a decision you make, a state of mind. Been about 5 years now I have been explaining this, and guess what... he came home from work yesterday and was in a good mood! Said he decided to have a good day! I just about keeled over. Even if he comes home today with that dark cloud overhead, at least he is getting the idea! I need to text him a picture of Peachy, his favorite hen. We call her his therapy hen. 6 yrs old and she is finally laying eggs!

Oh no, stubborn? Hopefully it's just her puppiness. Leash her and attach the leash to your belt. She has to follow you around all day and you become the leader. She minds Jewel well enough, so maybe you need to be a stronger in your corrections.

I paddled her good for getting into the strawberries yesterday, and she hasn’t gone back for them. But it’s hard to catch and paddle in the act of chasing guineas. She doesn’t get her feelings hurt like Jewel did, but she seems pretty food motivated so that works out well for me.

I was reading about Australian cattle dogs and how stubborn they can be. I’ve also looked at pit/pointer mixes.

Moving the chicks to the brooder and trying out the watering cups. I think they’re two weeks old? By jane’s tail up/tail down I’ve got 2-4 roos, not bad out of 10.

thats awesome Wishing. I raised Robert to be who he is then this guy comes along and says no, you can be better. Look better, act better, dress better. Im afraid he isnt going to get far .

My biggest mistake with Belle was not keeping her under my control when she was a pup. In hindsight, I would have kept her on a long leash or a lunge line. It's hard to make a correction when you can't catch them, and Josie is only going to get faster and stronger. You've only had her a few days, but good to set the routine the way you want it now.

Took him 20 something years to become who he is, so will take more than one dance to make a change. But remember, he did just get his hair cut! That's something. This worker is expanding his world and giving him new experiences... that's what I think he should be doing.
You did great with Robert because he isn't always second guessing himself like mine does. That was my fault.
