All 4 still stick pretty close to Mom. She’s in the first pic at the bottom.

YALL. JOSIE HERDED THE GUINEAS AND I GOT A VIDEO. :wee
Pretty good... but I'm not surprised. Kept them together and got them through the gate. Natural instinct.

I called my bff so excited! I’m def going to be looking for a herding group now. See how she ignored me when I was as trying to praise her?:rolleyes:
She didn't ignore you... gave you a wag and ears up. They're just different than labs. They love the work for work's sake, not the praise so much. since she has the instinct, some sort of training would be good... wouldn't want that to turn into hunting.
By comparison, at first chance, my boxer/collie pup chased after my 3 chickens, jumped on one and started furiously pulling feathers. She had no herding skill and a higher prey drive than I would have thought. I had trouble getting her off of that poor hen. Good thing she was still pretty young.

I googled for groups and posted for help on the women in agriculture fb page. Next I’ll call my farm neighbor who has an Australian Shepherd she uses with her cattle. All I’m finding are programs where you send the dog off and it comes back trained.

Yeah, you don't really need her trained so much as needing to know how to channel her "talent" into something constructive.
