Luck of the draw. He must have had good stock to begin with. I see people selling breeding "trios" and most of the time they are related and from the same parents. Should not be bred together... too much inbreeding.

well, the 3 babys I got from them look pretty good. I am finally starting to see some red coming in. They are terrified of me and still with broody . I can tell she is wanting to rejoin the flock.

Some people are good breeders, others (too many) are simply hatchers or reproducers... they don't care what they get as long as someone buys it.

I wonder why our TSC never has any of those breeds of birds. Very little selection here. They are going to go out of business in the next year I suspect. A new big feed store chain is supposed to building sometime this year just a couple miles down the road from my TSC store. I hate to see businesses close, but they don't even attempt to have a nice store or a stocked store.

there’s a TSC and Rural king side by side in circleville lol tsc is always bare when I drive by.
