I think I'm going to put one of my CCL roo's with my EE'S this spring. Would love to see what comes out of them.
Oooh, that should give you some nice results - what color(s) do you have in your EE group?

A hybrid breed. They are legbars crossed with leghorns. Supposed to be excellent layers of pale blue eggs. I want to put him over my white spotted EE pullets.
Yep - the production rate of the leghorn coming from both sides and the blue egg genetics to boot!

This is one pairing. I like her markings. The roo has a few pale gray spots.

I just love, love, love this pretty girl!

Morning!

Afraid I can't chat today, but thought I'd pop in for a moment.

Morning, henny -- hope your busy day is full of good busyness.

Snow day part 2 here today -- Funny thing is it didn't really snow that much, maybe 2 inches, but it was the freezing rain that caused the issues. DS doesn't seem to mind, go figure. Z was SO excited yesterday - we went out and spent quite a bit of time playing in the snow, she even got to meet a couple of neighbor kids who came over to watch her be silly in the snow.
Got up and got ready for the big interview today -- then got the call that they are re-scheduling due to the storm (had kind of figured that would be the case, but didn't want to assume and be wrong/not be ready if they didn't cancel)....so all dressed up with nowhere to go today, lol.

Taking advantage of the surprise free time - think I'll work on some gift projects today. FINALLY getting the cookbook for DD that I was going to do last year done - having fun typing up all the different recipes and including little side/back stories for those with special family history or meaning, even putting in some photographs. Then time to tackle more crochet. Need to get all the things that need to be mailed done now so they can get on their way - then I can focus on the things for the family that we will actually see for Christmas.
