Lucky you got chickens
Yeah, it's a mystery how they make a living working as little as they do. They finally finished the wiring in the garden shed! They were working on the soffits but they took them down again because it didn't look right. Maybe they will finish by the 4th of July!the mystery workers?
When big animals prolapse ,they used to pour sugar on the uterus. It sucked the water out of the tissues and shrank them up.ok what about steroid for inflammation ?
Ouch, Alley! Get some antibiotic ointment on it if you have not. Sorry you hurt yourself!you could.
Sorry it’s taking me so long to reply. I’m in the middle of making dinner and cut my thumb with a knife! So I’m typing with one hand
Aspirin. Baby type. Thanks Alley, I know it cant heal til its all inside. I will wait til tomorrow and give her another soak to see if she lays then the tape with the gauze and sugar water if I can figure it out. Steroid tonight I guess. I cant remember do they get aspirin or tylenol for pain ?

Mine don't waste pellets the way they do the crumbles. They gobble oyster shell like crazy. Once in a while I get a thin shell, go out and check and sure enough, they need an oyster shell refill. I have 4 hens that are 6 yrs now. The EE lays pretty regularly, and the others occasionally. The youngsters make up for it. Got 9 eggs yesterday from 14 hens, and only 3 of them are under 2 yrs. They're doing good!Just a day of leisure today. Probably should do something but as long as I have the opportunity, why not. So you use the pellets also. Works best for me. Thinking about getting some oyster shell. Been getting a few soft shell eggs the last few month. Hens are 5 years old now so I can't complain.
What all do they have left? They may finish by thanksgiving lolYeah, it's a mystery how they make a living working as little as they do. They finally finished the wiring in the garden shed! I rinsed it and stuck a bandaid on it. I don’t normally do bandaids lolOuch, Alley! Get some antibiotic ointment on it if you have not. Sorry you hurt yourself!
They have to close in the soffits, install gutters and snow rails, and finish the goat barn. Which is mostly just putting up window casings and latches. And they need to fix the dutch door so it works. What all do they have left? They may finish by thanksgiving lol

I've only ever had one hen have the problem and it righted itself within a few daysI dont want to cull. Guess I just keep putting it back in. From all the threads not one person says how far to push it in.
