she looks good Camping. I told the boys to get me some of that tape you close wounds with. Are they butterfly stitches ? Just a thin strip of tape. I figure I can close maybe half of it and should still be able to poop. If I remember right takes about 10 days to come off so if she lays another egg she will rip.

If she lays another egg she will prolapse again. Keep her in the dark to discourage it, and no food for a few days. I do not thing the success rate for fixing prolapse is good.

Tom bought some tools today. On the way home his guilty conscience says , You know I only bought these so it will be easier for you and Robert after Im gone.. I said, If you mention leaving one more time I am going to help you on your way.

They have to close in the soffits, install gutters and snow rails, and finish the goat barn. Which is mostly just putting up window casings and latches. And they need to fix the dutch door so it works.

Howdy everyone! Just caught up but need to feed the birds.
Pert, did you treat the hen with the prolapse, or did it fix itself? Good to know they can be fixed. I didn't notice my hen soon enough, and the tissue was too dry.

I have been sitting here for what seems forever holding her butt. I wrapped her in a towel soaked a pad in sugar water for an hr ? Then lubed her up and put it back again. She was straining so hard she was grunting . After I got it in I held her butt shut forever. I have just put her back in the cage. Hoping it will at least stay in through the night. I wanted to give her something for pain but didnt want to make her strain against me getting it down.

Yeah, no kidding! Pretty much all of our snow is melted now. But there are still branches down all over the place. I moved the chicken feeder in with the Polish so its easier to fill and dispenses more feed. Trying to make things as simple as possible. I have one chain that was holding up a commercial feeder, i need to carry a ladder over to hook that back up. Not sure why it came down.

Well put sugar in her water dish with the aspirin, maybe she will drink it on her own.
