Oh, i forgot to tell you that one of the Polish not only made it out of the closed chicken yard, but almost all the way to the house! Its like 200 yards! Idk what she was looking for. I was trying to herd her back towards the coop but she didn't want to cooperate. The dog got her attention and i grabbed her. She is back in the coop with the flock. Hubby tried to call me on the phone because i didn't answer when he yelled, but i left my phone in the house. I was out on the other side of the barn, so i didn't hear him right away.

It all depends on pedigreed, registered, pet, or show quality, color , sex.... but i would happily pay that for a nice buck that age. I have all girls.

so do people still try to let them mate and hatch their own or is everyone just assuming they wont ? I would love to build a natural habitat for a pair of them and try. Interfere as least as possible by even maybe bringing food and water at night. Lots of hiding spots for them ect...

They have no interest in sitting on eggs. They just lay them and walk away. I mean, maybe older hens might try to sit if she had a nest with eggs in it. It would be interesting but i doubt it would work.

They are too furry! A skirt is ok, but not supposed to be fluffy all over. More like angora. Too much brushing.

18 eggs ?

I am not even sure how many eggs are in there. I had filled the bator up, but the others were started later so i put them in another bator for the rest of their incubation. A couple eggs were iffy but i left them in.

I keep making plans for the swap next month then remember the car. It wont fit anything. I get mad all over again.

So glad the bunny run is over by the barn. I will move them into it tomorrow. Just a few details to finish. I need to make a special feeder because mamma is always throwing food all over. She wastes more than she eats. Very annoying!
