:p

Wishing, If I can get pt from my dr or pain clinic and Im not taking anymore shots why am I calling this guy ?
He talked me into the shots last time. Hes good...
To get it into your medical record that you had severe adverse reactions.

Next person that looks through your record and sees you got the shots, but didn't follow through, is going to think you are a non-compliant patient or sabotaging your own care. You want it to be known and noted in your medical record that this course of treatment is not an option for you and why.

I put Josie outside while I vacuumed and in that time she escaped the fence, got into the chicken run, and ripped out all of Hank’s back feathers and most of his tail. :barnie Luckily he’s just bald, no punctures.
Sounds like you need to work on security! Sorry about your bird!

dont last long enough. Super glue ? LOL Its not his fault, he needs to run. I know this. I could let him run but he heads across the street . I am afraid he will get hit or cause an accident.
If you put him on an overhead cable he can at least run back and forth. Needs a bark collar i guess.

they taught it in vet tech school. We did semen collection and AI. Not to mention the scrapping to see when to do it. And spent forever on nutrition. We had to manage the weight of the dogs and cats on site.
I bet they don’t teach it anymore. With PETA and Animal AR breeding is a dirty word. They would rather import sick dogs from overseas. REscue is big business now.

umm, my sugar is 170 on coffee. I knew it was that shot. I suspect its why I feel like death.

Yeah, but this is CA. Different world view than much of the rest of the country. Dr Pol would probably have lost his license to practice if he was in CA. :hmm We live in rarefied air.

No doubt that shot messed you up. Did Dr Doom tell you the risks? You always have to ask... make them look up the side effects. Most of the time, I wonder if they even know.

Steroids (corticosteroids, glucocorticoids) are a potent class of medications (meds for short) that are known to raise blood glucose levels, often quite significantly. Steroids are given to help reduce inflammation that may occur with arthritis or asthma. People with certain immune disorders, such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or sarcoidosis, usually need to take steroids as well.

While steroids are very effective at doing what they’re supposed to do, one of the side effects is an increase in blood glucose levels. In fact, sometimes people find out that they have diabetes after being prescribed steroids for a certain condition because their health-care provider notices an increase in blood glucose levels. Others may develop what is called “steroid-induced diabetes,” which goes away after they stop taking these meds.

Why do steroids jack up glucose levels? First, they increase insulin resistance, causing your insulin (your own or injected insulin) to work less effectively in the body. This means that glucose levels build up in the blood. Second, steroids can trigger your liver to release extra glucose, again, leading to high blood glucose levels.By the way, if you receive a steroid injection, expect the effect on your blood glucose to last up to several weeks. Steroid inhalers and creams usually don’t raise blood glucose levels.
