Granny's gone and done it again

I bought some hanging baskets to grow strawberries. Was going to hang them from my combo grape arbor, chicken dust bath project... that is still in the planning stage... except for the baskets!
those are called tristan . I dont know how well they produce but so pretty IMO

Wishing, I am having terrible ant problems. One reason I havent dug up the planters. They are just coated in ants and then I am too. Do you have a suggestion ? Pots are not movable .
Bait. Borax bait you make yourself. You have to play with right proportions, but it will kill the whole nest and ant problem will disappear. Borax or boric acid is cheap, got some at Walmart. Mix it with sugar (sugar ants) and or peanut butter (meat eaters) and put it where the ants will find it. There are recipes online. You want enough borax in it to kill the nest in a few days, but not so much that the worker ants die before they can get it to the colony.

I dont know what kind they are.

My mom had terrible problems with ants in her potted plants... they were lookomg for water in the summer. She used the stake type of ant baits. Had one in every pot. Of course they were made from metal back then.
