those are called tristan . I dont know how well they produce but so pretty IMOI bought some hanging baskets to grow strawberries. Was going to hang them from my combo grape arbor, chicken dust bath project... that is still in the planning stage... except for the baskets!
LOL I do.beautiful. Do you know the variety?
Bait. Borax bait you make yourself. You have to play with right proportions, but it will kill the whole nest and ant problem will disappear. Borax or boric acid is cheap, got some at Walmart. Mix it with sugar (sugar ants) and or peanut butter (meat eaters) and put it where the ants will find it. There are recipes online. You want enough borax in it to kill the nest in a few days, but not so much that the worker ants die before they can get it to the colony.Wishing, I am having terrible ant problems. One reason I havent dug up the planters. They are just coated in ants and then I am too. Do you have a suggestion ? Pots are not movable .
Perfect for my baskets, whenever I get my project started.says Bonnie dont carry them now. wonder why...

That's why you use sugar and peanut butter. Both kinds are attracted. I think the baits you buy are for both types as well.I dont know what kind they are.
They will come to a food source. They live under the dirt. I never see them come up til the dirt is disturbed
