My Polish keep their nest box clean, lay and get out. I have one that insists on laying on the ground, inside or out so hers get dirty.They look nice and clean.

Most everything I grow has to be drought tolerant. Otherwise, one day you don't water and they are dead. I spend a ridiculous amount of time watering a summer garden. We aren't even doing tomatoes this year unless I get some soil for a patio container.
