Granny's gone and done it again

What kind did you get? If they are selling them in your area, they should work. If they are dwarf, you can use a container.
Maybe you could build a planter box with a bench around it and plant the fig inside... something like this

Everything in moderation! :old toot-toot!

I’m not sure, need to check when I get home. The TSC packaging said zone 5-8, just like everything else, so I had some cooler shady spots picked out. But then I looked it up and apparently they’ll thrive in our hot humid climate! The pool (where the garden is) is up higher so definitely one there, just not sure if I have enough room for two. Also not sure if I want to attract bees/wasps to the pool area. But that’s one of the sunniest spots that’s not an open field where someone will mow it down.

Okay, so I don't want to gross you out, because you are much more squeamish about food than I am, but I would rather eat an incidental bug any day than rodent feces, but I eat that too. We all do. Do you know that there is an "allowable" percentage of rodent feces in practically all of our cereals and grain products?
My food rule is if it ain't moving and the smell doesn't make me gag, it's edible.
OMG !! No way. :sick If I ever diet I know who I am coming to see.

They thrive in hot sun... originally a Mediterranean fruit. The pool area sounds great. They do not draw a noticeable amount of insects, and the big leaves are easy to clean up in the fall, but they also disintegrate well... we've always just left them to decay at the farm.
