I manage to talk hubby out of going to town. He's been working on projects & getting the green house ready to run the tiller in. I have been using my little Mantis tiller in my chicken runs. I need to get back at it. Lunch is done, coffee gone so before energy goes I gotta do it. Bbl

I heard of an old "Italian custom. Where a woman sews a pillow case for her wedding and then from then until she dies all the roses (petals) she receives in her lifetime are put in the pillow and then that is what her head rests on in her coffin. Personally I think that's beautiful idea

Sorry I’ve been silent again. Things have just been busy (what else is new), blessedly the migraine didn’t last long (phew) and I was back to the land of the functional the next day. I have to laugh though. One of my coworkers (he’s a hoot - he’s the one I speak to in chicken memes half the time haha) starts telling me I should do a juice cleanse it would help. It’s funny how flustered men can get when you say it’s hormonal and related to my cycles. But. I think it may be more from not being on the pill. That first period without it was bad - that one has actual puking and the non functioning lasted longer. This one at least was only half a day of bad, and though yeah there was nausea no actual puking occurred. WIN! So who knows. Maybe as my body figures itself out it’ll continue to lessen but now that I’ve noticed the pattern I can try different things to stave it off. (Not gonna lie. I did resort to some essential oils this go around. It helped)

Camp, Josie is looking gorgeous! Good work on all the training too! She is still much in the doofy puppy stage but the fact that she’s listening to you instead of playing chase the chickens...good sign

My Sibling is getting “Barnaby” this weekend. My cousin’s kid is getting christened close to where the mom’s family lives (which is also near the breeder) so the Sibling is doing a multipurpose trip. I can’t wait to see more pics. I hope he’s s good boy. Sibs and I aren’t ones to be dogless.

Hubs still sleeps but I really should get up, grab some food, do my run and get some more laundry and landscaping going. I have more diabolical plots for my front bed. There’s going to be some rearranging. I’m going to get some African daises, put the hummingbird yucca elsewhere (probably in the very front of the yard where my frost killed hibiscus and a succulent planter are) and add some alyssum as ground cover (the carpet of stars just isn’t spreading fast enough for my liking...and let’s face it. Alyssum is just so pretty. When mom and I planted it we had the thought of low water use but now that I’ve been just using washing machine water to water I’m thinking nuts to it. Why don’t I just get something pretty and use the washing machine water to water it. Now to find time to go to Home Depot and stock up...course I still have to figure out the irrigation line in the rest of the yard too haha.

Peeps are getting big. (Well, except for mystery gold peep. She’s still dainty). Went to tractor supply the other night to get some food with my 10% off coupon - they have some higher protein hen feed (18% instead of the normal 16) so I got that for the big girls, and got some all flock crumbles for the peeps. They’re not out of food yet but I wanted it cause 1) ten percent off and 2) going to have to transition them at some point. I may try some commingled supervised free ranging this weekend though. Get them all used to each other.

It was a good swap. Tom woke up in bad pain and I kept it simple so he didnt have to do anything. No loading of the car, nada. I took the 14 babies and sold everyone of them. Was sold out at 9 with peeps wanting more. There was a line.
