It was a good swap. Tom woke up in bad pain and I kept it simple so he didnt have to do anything. No loading of the car, nada. I took the 14 babies and sold everyone of them. Was sold out at 9 with peeps wanting more. There was a line.

I might have. LOL I bout a RIR pol for $4. a Lav. orph pol for $7. 3 white polish chicks and 3 buttercup chicks for $2.00 each.

So, how much money did you lose at this swap?

oh and the RIR for eggs. She has a very dark color. almost mahogany.

Oh, sounds like you got a real RIR. The production ones have the worst rep for being mean. Yours will be nice.

I everybody! Went into town early for some running around. I got some Cosmos starts!
Wouldn't you know, the day I posted that flower pic, I got a coupon flyer in the mail for the nursery that's on our side of town, so figured I go and support a local small business. If you got there early enough, you could get a little sample bag of potting soil, a free little plant and a little bag of ladybugs The line was out the door! But everyone was friendly and in a good mood, so all was well.

My free plant is Hummingbird Mint or Orange Hyssop (botanical name Agastache)... whatever you cal it, I chose it for the hummers. After listening to you all talk about your hummies, figured I should get some plants for them. The grapefruit is in flower now (SMELLS SO GOOD) and the CA Buckeyes are coming soon too, so they have nectar, but those will be gone by the end of May, so I want things for them for the summer.

Time to get planting!

I collected 4 wagon loads of kindling to help hubby with his 3 burn piles. But its too windy, with gusts up to 17 mph! Maybe tonight the winds will die down.
I want to finish my egg turner today and work some more on the brooder. Plus i have a lot of plants to put in the garden. I need a team of workers to get the gardening done, but it's up to me so i do what i can .

This is the ducks they had for $7.00 . pretty and was super friendly.
Cap, rabbits were around $15.

I took a nap.
I didnt know RIRs are mean. This one dont seem to be but its young still. about half grown and maybe heritage. I fell for the color.
I did come home on the + side of cash even after Mcdonalds but not by much. LOL

Jane , they had a ton of baby goats there but one stood out for me. It was snow white and had curly hair ! Forgot what she said it was. I was checking it out and it tried to suck on my finger. awww.....
