Granny's gone and done it again

So these shipped eggs are dying a few days before lockdown. All in the same bator. The eggs don’t fill up and get dark. My eggs in the same bator hatch fine. Nutrition? Or something else?

Could be breeder nutrition or stress from shipping. Sally sent me duck eggs once that did that.

Maybe stress from shipping then. 4 batches of eggs from 3 different breeders. Out of almost 50 chicken eggs only 1 has hatched so far. The rest are due tomorrow and Thursday. Guess we’ll see.

Sure hope you have more than that hatch :fl

HI & Happy Mothers day to all the wonderful mothers here :hugs dd & sil took us out for brunch. Was supposed to be going for dinner to our oldest dd house but she ended up being sick all weekend. I sure hope they can get this gallbladder stuff or whatever is making her so sick figured out soon.

These are lion heads. The ones are double maned. I was looking at jersey wooly and angoras but couldn’t find anything local and under $200! I wanted something with some fluff.

Edit to add: all the lion heads are 1.5 hours away. And $40-50 each
Jersey woolies mat up too much. At least the one i had did. Lionheads not so bad. The last 2 lionheads i bought were only $25 each. I don't think Fat-i-o is going to have babies. She was due today and has not even pulled fur. No Toes pulled fur and i didn't breed her. Unless he bred her through 2 layers of chicken wire between pens. Maybe they need supplements.

My chickens are sick. I finished feeding and water when I noticed a tolbunt walking in circles. I got her and cut her top so she can see. Didnt matter. eyes swelled shut. In one freaking day ! I didnt check the others but could tell by the way they were acting the tolbunts and jubs are effected. They could use some tylan but today I dumped their water and made them some denaguard water :hitPretty sure I know why. Sounds crazy but when they were sick a couple yrs back I suspected the same cause. My grass. Last 4-6 days I have been pulling weeds and cutting them up w/ scissors to fed them. None of the serama or babies in the barn are sick and some in the LF coop arent but the best ones are.
Oh no Pam, what do you think is causing it. Doesn't seem like the grass should hurt them unless there is pesticides on it. Or if they were eating it & got impacted crop. Why would it cause eye swelling & walking in circles? That sounds more neurlogical (sp) :hugs

maybe you’ll wake up tomorrow to babies? Ellie never pulled hair until she was in labor.

The blues are supposedly $25 but I messaged her on Friday and not heard back from her. I can’t remember when you got her. Could she have been bred before you got her?
