Woman I was helping today... and yesterday drove her daughter to an appointment... I didn't know it at the time, but she told me today she is going in for surgery to remove a large tumor... half her stomach, gall bladder and lymph nodes too. Just like that.

Herkey died. I have a few old eggs, but I’m going to try them. After doing so well Josie killed a hen this morning. It’s just one of those days I suppose.

DH has seen a feral cat prowling around the garden, so I’m going to try to rig the trap to the hole in the chicken wire and pick a few sacrifice cockerels. Or use dead birds. We’ll see.
