Granny's gone and done it again

Morning all, What a good idea Alley !
I sat outside for a little while but Bandit wouldnt stop whining and was on my last nerve. He wants to eat Binks.
3rd day I have had pain in my side. stomach swollen. It hurts to touch it. I suspect strawberrys.
Oh nooooo! :hit

I just can’t let her out at the same time as Jewel, I think that will help. She’s wild
:hmm She's still young. Hopefully she'll mellow out.

Keets yesterday, and today. I turned off the bulb but noticed a few still acting weak. I’ll treat for cocci and leave them in the brooder.

I don’t mind energetic. She’s quiet, and barking is really the only thing I can’t tolerate. Barking and licking.
I am exactly the same way. Well, except for the licking part... depends on who is doing it, but certainly not a dog!

Wow, I wouldn't have thought keets were delicate. Was going to suggest coccidia might be the culprit, but the way they are snuggled under the light... maybe they got too cold. Was it cold yesterday?

Mid-70s and damp from rain. The broody-suite was dry and fresh bedding, but no heat source.

They’re only hardy after the first few weeks. I’ve always heard if they walk through damp grass that they’ll die. My keets raised under a broody chicken were fine getting damp, but she would sit down and let them warm up. These keets were 3wks old on Tuesday, so I thought we were in the clear.

I have heard the same. Mid 70s sounds a bit cold for them I guess.
