There was a cool lookin cloud.

I need to get my big kid camera going again

Thanks! I think they might be my favorite wild bird. They always look so graceful and gentle.

It’s Josie's spay day! She gets broken, pain meds, and a rabies shot for $39. Worth the 1.5 hour drive. Too far to drive home and back, so I just have the day to myself to do whatever I want. Oh darn. :D
Sounds like a good day! Do females calm down a little being spayed like the males do? Maybe it will help her around the animals.

here the city ASSessor assigns a "true and full value" to your property our IDIOT is using 2015 property sales as his base line. Which was right at the height of the oil boom) and then 5% of that is "taxable value" that is what they take the "mills" times to figure out property tax PLUS any "specials" they may have assigned your property.

Property tax in the United States is based on a property’s value. Property tax calculations vary in different parts of the country, but typically follow a general format. Your local government assesses your property’s value annually or at some other interval and uses a tax rate called a mill rate to figure your annual property tax. One mill equals 1/1,000 of $1, or $1 of tax for every $1,000 of value. A property is typically subject to different mill rates from more than one jurisdiction, such as the county, state or local school district
We just have property tax at a given percentage rate plus special parcel taxes for various things like the fire district since we are unincorporated. They up your assessment every year.

Thing that blows my mind down here - the emphasis on sports and sports scholarships. Granted sil got a free ride with her softball but really?!?
Wild huh? One thing about it though, is a student athlete, who can put the time into a competitive sport and maintain a high gpa shows self discipline and a is a good bet to be successful in college. The scholarship part is hard to explain.:idunno

Howdy all ! I gave everyone that wanted to run a chance to so whos left ? Hahahaa Empty room silence ?
Missed again. :hit

Thats ok, I can talk to myself. I am wishing I never made a comment about the schools. I stand by what I said. I dont think people that dont have kids should be charged to raise yours but then that goes into welfare and housing food stamps, the list goes on. So it contradicts everything else. Some of us dont want people on welfare and think they should all be working some understand the need for the children no matter what the parents are like. We cant take them all into foster.
We ALL want the same thing. For the next generation to be educated, fed and healthy. We dont need $65. million schools to do that. We dont need big sports to do that. All the $$ we are paying in isnt going to the children. You can know that by looking at our teachers salarys. The money is gone way before it hits their paychecks. Have any of you been inside the inner city schools ? Where if you need to poop you better hope you brought TP from home or oh well. Or the kids only meal of the day is from schools lunch?
$400. a yr to pick up bulk garbage per house and its put on your property taxes so if its not paid they own your home. Right in the Mayors pocket. 65 million for a school ? I seriously doubt that.
I believe by Twist voting no to the increase he is actually helping to fight corruption in the government.
haha! I totally kept my comments to an extreme minimum. Agree with everything you are saying. Lot of waste in schools, but I still think it's worth for society to educate everyone. Education is the great equalizer. (should be, anyway)

Robert got his ask beat so many times I about lived at that school. I had meetings on top of meetings for him. Er visits up the wahoo, Po-po reports . He was bullied badly and no one would put a stop to it. So one drs visit his dr wrote an order for a para pro to be with him all day every day and if they couldnt guarantee his safety then they were to come to my home to teach him. Yes, they have to do that. He got his para-pro . No matter where he went she shadowed him. For parents that dont know this is possible my heart goes out to them. Autistic people are targets for bullies.
I tell, the inmates run the asylum. It might be a bit better now that everyone is preoccupied with their cell phones. :hmm

2 pictures = 2000 words hysterical!

Missed again. :hit

She was wild and crazy this morning, running and jumping. I had to walk her stooped down so I could hold her collar to try to keep her still, but it didn’t really work. :/

I texted her foster mom yesterday, and she said that Josie played rough with her siblings and mom. She’s pretty bitey with Jewel, so I’m almost back to thinking she just plays with them to death. But, then she’s also eaten a few... so who knows? The last couple times at the farm she’s been pretty good. :fl I’m not making myself hoarse from using my “big” voice to call her back.
