TBH I love the though of Bovine AI (I can make a very dirt comment but won't ) and welding as is both something working with my hands. My also look into farrier work to help GF some since I can work with minis without a problem.

Nothing wrong with that, but there are ways to get some post high school education that will not put you in debt and put you into a higher pay bracket. Do a 2 year certificate program at a community college to be a plumber or and electrician and you can have your own business and make a good living.
