That's why you have to be a hoarder.

Late to the party again! I was up at my dad's this afternoon planning out the retaining wall and patio he is putting in behind the old farmhouse. It was a beautiful day today. Partly sunny with big beautiful puffy clouds. We don't often get those type of clouds here, and it really made me wish I had wings so I could go zooming around up there... especially after my dad talked about having done that in his flying days. He said the clouds make valleys and canyons and it's fun to fly in and out and around them. Can you imagine the freedom??

We had rain for 3 days in a row. The trees are all clean and lovely and the air is clear. The ground is nice and soft, not crunchy. Got to see if I can dig a few holes to get my poor roses out of pots and into the ground. Temps are supposed to rise this week, getting back up into the 80s which means happy tomatoes! It also is my last chance to get the coops all clean and tidy before the rain come back next week. Feathers everywhere! Couple of the girls have no tails and look a little sad, but we got 2 eggs today!

Also need to get the last 2 garage Seramas moved up to the bantam coop and integrated with the flock. The cockerel won't have any trouble, but little PJ might be a challenge. She is more social with me than with the other chickens. Hopefully little Joe will help her adjust.

And that's all the news. Ming is sitting with me and we are watching the singing on The Voice. See you all tomorrow.

If he is having any numbness in his right arm, or describes having the "worst headache of his life" you need to get him to an ER ASAP. I'm an RN and dizziness can often be a sign of a heart issue. It could also be as simple as dehydration. So make sure he drinks and remember to watch for the other signs. Hope he feels better soon.

Yes, have him drink a large glass of water.

Hi Everyone, just wanted to pop in & say "Hi". Have caught up reading and just wanted to share my great weekend. If any of you EVER have a chance to meet & greet with granny & her family jump at it. They are the most amazing people, love them all to the moon. Granny makes it sound like we did so much, but truly we didnt. We couldnt have been more blessed even if we had stayed at a 5 star motel. Even had chocolates on the pillow

I can't wait until we can go again. Am missing everyone terribly, even Bandit the pup. I have not had interest in a dog in quite some time. He is just too darn cute, would have loved to sneak him into my car and have taken him home

we've had a long drive today. Just got home at 7:30, 9 hrs on the road. Not going to stay and chat, just too tired. Hope you all have had a great day

So glad yo had such a lovely trip - and that you are home safely. Granny and her gang truly are fabulous people!! Good resting!

Devin went out to get something to calm his anxiety. He came home with a bag full of junk food!!!

Well, that would certainly help my anxiety.......

we also made a stand for bird cages and then we cut the wire pieces to put the cages together for the tolbonts

Awesome! It is so good you are getting the opportunity to learn how to do so much - a handy man is worth his weight in gold in my opinion.

Devin is seasoning the pot of gravy... I said did you taste it first so he stuck his finger in the season salt and licked it and said it fine... I'm laughing so hard I'm crying!!!!!

i meant my family here DD's and DH.but they are amazed too that i hatched them..and you would think i am the only one that has ever done that lol...

It *is* amazing, Danna -- you did so well!

I know, I do too. He slept for a bit drank lots of water then played video games. He seems okay now although he may still have a touch of it.

That treatment plan, imo, will cure a multitude of things! I know it certainly worked on the occasions I was too *cough* sick*cough* to go into work, lol

i'm tired i need to lay down...sweet dreams everyone...
Goodnight, Danna!

I hope everyone has a good night . I am off to bed.

'Night, Granny!

What a lovely thought, Wishing, you are so right - especially if it were flight like a bird vs. just being stuck in an airplane -- to actually *feel* the air around you, oh, to be a bird!
Have to smile at you sitting with your Ming, have a Sheldon sitting next to me keeping me company.

Didn't hear back from the place I interviewed at last week (they had said they should make a decision by today) *and* to top it off I did get a letter from the place I interviewed at the week before..... a rejection letter
hmm.png
The funny thing is I had decided I didn't even want the job at the place that rejected me, so I was surprised by how much it bothered me to open that letter. Think I might drown my sorrows in a bowl of ice cream, lol

Ugh. Don't let it shake you.

The right job will come along where you are first choice and that will be worth waiting for. Ice cream makes life a happy place!

Almost 11:00 and Ming has perked up. She is frantically trying to shred all parts of the cat tree. I'm a little scared.
