Granny's gone and done it again

I put Josie on a long leash (so she could run around but I could quickly grab her if needed) and went to the farm. I was giving a tour and lost track of her... Josie and Jewel were both gone. I finished the tour (garden and camp grounds) and they weren’t back. So I changed shoes, filled my water cup, and started hiking. Jewel found me and led me to Josie. Second time we’ve done this... but it makes me regret even more that I never went in the woods looking for Jasper. I was in that walking boot at the time and the river was up from excessive rain... but still.

What was Josie doing?

When you lost jasper was he on a long line?

I think they just like to smell all the different things. I have no idea why they go in the woods. Jasper didn’t have a lead or even a collar on at the time, but he could’ve been in a gully, or injured by hogs... lately I’ve been thinking that boaters/fisherman on the river could’ve picked him up. Maybe he slid down the bluff to the river and couldn’t get back up. Jewel was gone 9 hours that day, so it seems likely to me that she was waiting with him, at least a while. But she isn’t persistent like lassie. If I didn’t actively follow her both times, I wouldn’t have known she was leading me. So I’ll never know.

Hubs is still at work....the West fire is at 400 acres and only 30% contained so I have the feeling I won’t see him a while.
That will keep him from spending money on the truck!

Hubs has made his dislike of procreation abundantly clear... BAH NO STRESS HERE EH
Then he should keep his zipper up. Or, as mentioned, get fixed himself.

I’ve been talking with a friend of mine about this. She’s convinced if it actually happens he’ll change his tune.
I wouldn't bet on the "its different when they are his" thing. Plenty of women that think that, go off BC and "accidentally" get pregnant, can tell you different. Doesn't mean it never happens.

If you are broody he will just have to deal. A shrieking kid sends me to the roof whether they were mine when they were little or someone else's.

I want to get my eyelids lifted. Its starting to impede my vision!
My Dad had that done.

I took some hotdogs (that are called sausages?) and slit them, stuffed them w/ some cheese. soaked some toothpicks and wrapped bacon around them. I baked them turning once.
We used to have that when I was a kid. Yep, very tasty.
