Yup, lucky.. That would actually be a cool day for me now a days.. It's either pouring rain or hot as heck.. Of course you know what 'heck' is..

Are the purple carrots orange cored? We can sometimes buy those and the pale yellow ones at the health food store. Certainly makes for a colorful dish.

Made me smile just to see you two together. Got two gallons of maters boiling to make spaghetti sauce to can.

Sounds good Jane. Granny bought a whole flat of tomatoes yesterday (10 lbs!) Not sure if she's got any plans for them other than to eat 'em! I got her 6 green tomatoes because she's been talking about fried green tomatoes for a long time. Tom perked up at the idea too! Now she's just got to get to frying.

Hey granny, don't forget about the new electric griddle. Perfect for FGTs!

Well, I have been having such a good time in Indiana. This type of green farm country is so different from where I live... and the butterflies! They're everywhere! And sadly, sometimes get smooshed by the car... I feel like a butterfly murderer.

Have to pack tonight. My flight home is tomorrow evening.
Tomorrow, going to pick up a KFC feast (Robert's favorite) and head over to granny's for final farewell before the long drive to the airport. waaaaaahhhhhhh!

Not sure. They had carrots, onions, and okra that they made into soup with chicken and smoked sausage. GumFAUX instead of gumbo.
