I put some dried cut grass in the nest boxes. They loved it!

yes, mine like that too . I have only done it when I dont have shavings.

Thats what I need for one run. The other not 5 ft. away never floods. Go figure. LOL

I use hay for the chickens and guineas, and cut grass or sand in the quail nest boxes.

Bales of hay is expensive and hard to find here. I just happened to grab the grass because all the rain made it where we couldn’t mow for like 2 weeks. Usually there’s not enough left over.

I have . You wouldnt believe all I have put in there. Never removed and its still lower then surrounding yard after all these yrs. I add peat, Tons of shavings, lime, gravel, drainage tubes. Still flooded oh, and straw a few times

I use either hay or straw in the nest boxes and then stall fresh covered with shavings for the floor in gen pop. Both buildings have cement floors.

Run has a wire bottom when I made it. hahahaa I am sure thats long rusted away

Well I’m going to bed, gotta try to beat the rain tomorrow so I can get everyone fed and watered. I go back to work on Wednesday so I really get to get stuff done but I think the rain is stopping most of the projects. Good night all and sweet dreams!

Do you like the cement floor ? I always thought those would be easy because you could hose them out and get really clean IF they are on a slant
