Granny's gone and done it again

the prices I have seen on the cows and heifers seem to be holding pretty steady ranging from about 750 to 7500 depending on age, color , and pedigree and size.

Hailey isn't foundation BUT is super wooly so those 2 sort of cancel each other out. The "tameness" also plays a factor. The goldens are rarer so are going for more.

A lot of the breeders are putting their heifers in with bulls when the girls are around 2, so they are 3 when a first time mom, I prefer to wait and let them get a little more size.

The 3 new girls are all in with bulls right now.
You already got new girls?

howdy there H20 are you melting as well ??
Horrible, I went to yoga then ran errands. My husband kept texting me more things to do. I finally said enough and came home at noon. To hot to get in and out of car.

What is golden trim.

the "golden color" with white markings, usually on forehead, feet or tips of the tails.

Now Nostirl Dumas is a trim but has NO white on his face just hind feet and the tip of his tail.

In my PWD you can have the white come out and neither parent has it. You only need one copy.

that like springer's with the liver you can actually get liver and white out of two black and white dogs IF the BOTH had a liver parent.

Good old Mendal

the older one is Exotic Gold Choice

nice horn set on her
That's the one I thought... didn't realize (remember duh) that she is golden. Hard to tell from the pics. Her front toes are longish and she is a bit back on her fetlocks (or whatever they call them for yaks). Bring a rasp or nippers and maybe you can trim her up for the long ride home.
She looks big, and that little calf of hers is nice.

2 hrs tending chickens and half hr shower. Air is fresher. LOL
Mind blown ! Do you all mean to tell me when your calling a cow a trim your looking at her hoo-ho ?
hahaa! Any excuse! Trim is just a small amount of white marking anywhere, except maybe on the inside of the upper back legs!

Gold (brownish) with a bit of white (trim) here and there. Trim is recessive. 2 copies gets you an animal more than half white called a Royal.

91 one here which is too hot for me. Very hazy too, probably smoke. How about you? Clear skies?
