Granny's gone and done it again

Love to you granny. Hope Tom recoups quick.

Surprise baby shower on Friday. And by surprise I mean surprise for all of us lol. Our little mom’s group (blessedly they include me in on it) have started a standing Friday coffee date. Well we have a new addition (haha I’m not the new girl anymore!) and she’s due to have a son soon. Haven’t met her before but our Mutual friend suggested we do a mini shower since her fam’s out of state and she doesn’t have too many friends here yet. So of course my heart goes out to her. Debate doing blankies. Of course I got flannels. But she’s expecting a son and most of my fabrics are more feminine.

I’ve got two others premade already but I admit. I’d have to re-hem the Froggy one cause when I did it, the sewing machine was not tensioning right at all...and the whale one was my first attempt at sewing a blankie with the stuffing so it’s kinds crappy too.

I kept them wanting to use them on my own wee one but I have to come to terms that that’s not going to happen.
Sorry Star, that is sad. Hugs.

What a nice gsture. I love the whale material.

If you're not allowed to sell then how is it they are allowed to? Different state rules?

yep, Co doesn't require bangs vac for yaks. Lots of yaks in Co
ND sort of treats them like cattle so bangs pretty much required/suggested

Looks like i missed everyone.:( First i was out working in the shop. Worked some more on the feeder. Seems to take forever!

This is the base. The feed will be poured in the top and slide down to both sides. One side will have a piece of glass so i can see how much feed is in it.

Then i had to set up a brooder for the quail. Of course the waterers were outside...and i had a bunch of shrink wrapped chicks to liberate. It is so disgusting, that slimy gel like goop makes me want to puke. I can deal with the poop. It is hard to keep humidity up in that bator because of the fan. Any way, a few more chicks. I took 5 outside this morning to that brooder because they were running around and might start picking at the new hatch chicks.
There is one quail chick that has a funny leg because it got in under the egg carton. Why do they do that??? I will probably have to cull the poor thing.

Canadians are more laid back. Not allowing fish is pretty picky!
I don't know, must depend where you go? Roomie and I had four 29 gallon fish tanks in our dorm room 40 years ago. Had to loft the beds so there was somewhere for them. Now people have their "therapy animals". DD2 went to Beloit in Wisconsin, I gather several people had them. But no snakes allowed for some reason. Don't know about spiders. I wonder how they determine someone actually NEEDS their "therapy animal". These were all psychological therapy animals, not for physical or non mental health needs.
