Granny's gone and done it again

Ranger has something weird on his belly. Wound? DH said pine sap, but he didn’t look at it. I tried to pull the straw but it was STUCK. Super stuck. So I hit it with the hose awhile, but no change. It just looks so weird and gross. :(

Any thoughts?
Camp, did you touch it or give it a good sniff? Sap is pretty easy to tell... either super sticky or maybe completely dry and very hard, but it will smell piney. It will not come off with water, or even soapy water. To me, it does look like sap. Scooter has gotten into it several times. Cutting it off was the only way to get rid of it.
Hope it's as simple as that and that Ranger doesn't have anything serious going on.

I stopped and cut some hay for the bunnies on the way home today. They were happy with it.
I need to clean cages in the barn , down to 4 bunnies in those miserable wire cages. I didn't get to fill waterers either because the water was turned off for a while. Guess i had best go check the critters. Bbl.
When you say you cut hay... I want to hear more about this. Did you plant a field?
Our old bun Chicory is really slowing down. He's even had some trouble falling over and getting back up on all fours by himself, but he's still eating and drinking, so the will to live is there. I will miss having the bun poo for gardening when he's gone. He is a sweet little guy.

the one I bought from Tsc has already rusted. I need to move some buns around. Any more baby buns? I guess mine had a false pregnancy.

I am going to need to kick myself into gear if i am ever going to get stuff done today. Bbl.
That is so unlike you! Maybe you finally wore down your Eveready Bunny batteries and need a recharge.

Any thoughts?
I agree with W4W, looks like sap to me too. That stuff doesn't come off without nasty petroleum solvents.

Can’t get my head that close to see. He puts his head down and stomps at me, and I don’t ever turn my back to him. Not as sweet as Sir Loin who loves getting head scratches. I can only get a hand on Ranger when he’s eating grain.

No, i cut hay in the border along the road near the farmer's field. Just a pair of hand cutters, i get enough for an armload. There is corn growing in the field itself, but along the road just grass and hay, poison ivy and a few weeds. I bought hay bales from this guy before. I need to build a hay loft.

No, i am waiting on a Holland Lop to have hers. But lost the calendar so idk when she is due.
I like to spray my cages with metal colored spray paint to freshen them up.
I need to build more transport cages.
