But she also sort of curls up with some when napping or they come over and curl up by her not sure which.

OH she will be with the rest of this years calves after we separate them from the main herd.

I have always pulled the calves off their mom's when brother is up here in OCT pheasant hunting and I have another "healthy" body to help move/load the calves into the trailer.

OH GOD NO about the same amount of time. the cows need the nutrition for themselves and the new calf growing inside. Remember with most rancher's and "open cow" (not preggers) get sold at market.
