I honestly thought Maybe the "hair of the dog that bit it" would help. I figure it has all the nutrients they need and it was worth a shot as it was dying.

I read that they can get root rot easy. So they need well draining soil

My mother "cooked" an entire tank of my fish one year, She walked by and for some reason put her hand in the water decided it was cold and cranked up the heater with out telling me.

On Christmas my baby brother thought he would be nice and give my tank 1/2 a back of hard sugar peanuts.

3 weeks before moving to a different house my other brother was going to show me how good he could pitch and threw a baseball through another tank of mine.

I water mine maybe 2x a month. My grandma swear by the ice cube method.

Yikes, not good outcomes i bet! I had a friend come over with her son and i showed them my salt water tank with fish that would take food from my hand. She and i got busy talking and the kid dumped a full can of food in my fish tank. I tried to scoop it out, but all my expensive fish died. The kid was old enough to know better if you ask me.

I have pills that expired 10 years ago. I still take them if i need them, they seem to work fine.

ice cube ? I get mine once maybe twice a month . The dirt is always hard as a rock.
